Завдяки використанню культиваторів «Horsch FG» досягається: вирівнювання поверхні грунту; механічна боротьба з бур'янами; збереження на поверхні поля більше 80% пожнивних залишків. Після обробки поля культиватором на поверхні грунту залишається шар мульчі і органічна субстанція, що запобігає ерозії, замулення і перегрів грунту, випаровування вологи.
Культиватори «Horsch FG» оснащені спеціальними лапами, які використовуються для суцільного обробітку всієї поверхні грунту: на глибину 5-20см. Культиваторна лапа проникає в грунт під кутом в 10-15 град. Цей малий кут (ефект долота) має ту перевагу, що культиваторна лапа без особливих проблем входить в грунт навіть при твердих грунтах. Тандемне шасі і опорні колеса забезпечують точну глибину ведення 4-х рядних сегментів культиватора.
Блок безпеки TerraGrip, з висотою відхилення до 30 см, забезпечує точну глибину роботи. За сошником слід 3-х рядна борона, яка вирівнює пожнивні залишки і готує дрібнозернисту грунт. Кут кріплення кожної скребла борони може регулюватися для кращої роботи з великою кількістю пожнивних залишків. Альтернативно з Terrano FG можна використовувати вирівнюючі диски.
